Here are the true facts about the Fluoride Ion (F-)
May i say that, from the start, that all facts are true, by definition. Stating this, can i say from the start. that the, F-, is the F-, no matter where it comes from- Rubble from a Quarry, or Rocks from the side of a Mountain.

The Halogens
The Halogens are a group of natural elements, which are known as the “Salt Formers” Also they readily form acids, the hydrophilic acids (HF, HCI, HBr and HI)
This is Fluorine-In its natural state, it is the most active of all the Elements. Of course it is never seen it it’s natural state due to the activity of this element. It ‘loves’ metals, especially the alkalis.

Chlorine, is a well known element due to the ability of it to be be the base of many disinfectants. As well as numerous industrial applications. Of course kitchen salt is known to us all!
Feel good bromides create the illusion of problem-solving. Shall we call NaBr a tranquilliser. As it has been used for years in this capacity. Also in wartime it was used to quell sexual desires.
Iodine, the antiseptic of the ages. It is necessary in the maintenance of Thyroid Health, and as Potassium Iodine (KI) has been used in radiation treatment. Iodine is used for pure water.
These elements are both Trans Uranic and Radioactive.
Ununseptium ? The jury is still out as to whether this element is a Halogen
